The works primarily mixed media and sculptural assemblages are created from pieces of drift wood and found objects washed up by the sea, that the artist collected and carefully treated to create her works. A soggy finger puppet, bits of twine and net, broken coral and cork barks sit neatly within a mini microcosm that the artist creates using everyday material imitating the language of underwater lifeforms. The works urge the viewer to take notice of whats preciously placed inside the casing- a rare find or a specimen soon to be extinct.
