Cor Maris~ Heart of the sea is a body of work that began its journey on the shores of the Mediterranean. What appears like spring in full bloom is a cynical reflection of the state of our seas today where lifeforms have evolved around manmade waste that occupies equal status with nature. The artist creates new species through her microscopic cellular imagery as an attempt to contribute to the fast fading ecology of our waters.
