The NGO Rays Aasha Ki Ek Kiran was established in Jaipur, in 2010. The NGO was created because HIV+ kids are not accepted in regular orphanages since they need special attention and care. Rays started with three children and today have more than 50 kids and 10 caretakers in two homes for HIV+ kids, where they are given support needed for a healthy and happy life: education, medical aid, balanced meals, regular exercise and lots of love. The children happily created mixed media mandalas using printed paper, fabric, decorative motifs from the city to create unique pieces of heritage art. Each work was further coated with resin.
